Hello, All,

My name is Lesley Cornett, and I graduated with a BA in English from the University of Kentucky in 2012. After graduating, I joined Teach for America and was relocated to Moundville, AL to their local high school. I currently teach English and Technology/Mass Media to grades 9-12. I enjoy teaching and learning with my students as well as incorporating new skills that I am currently learning as a graduate student at the University of West Alabama.

Please take a look at my portfolio. It includes two quality lessons plans among other tools that can be used to support technology-centered learning. I taught both lessons to a 8th grade English class and to my Technology/Mass Media class, respectively. This porfolio has helped me efficiently gather all of my previously created evaluative tools, assessments and student products as well as organize them in such a way that will evidence my abilities to facilitate students' individual and collaborative use of technology. As a way to show my understanding of Digital Citizenship and Assistive Technology, I have created PowerPoints for instructional tools that include information regarding such topics; the justification on how and when I have included both into my curriculum is included.

Sincerely,
Lesley Cornett
